In 2024, Techorama, the annual international technology conference, celebrated its tenth anniversary at Kinepolis Antwerp. What began as an ambitious initiative in 2014 has now grown into a prestigious event that attracts around 1,700 IT professionals, developers, and data specialists from across Europe each year. With a strong focus on high-quality content and an impressive line-up of international speakers, Techorama has established its reputation as a leading conference.
Since the first edition in 2014, held at Utopolis Mechelen, Auvicom has been a trusted partner. Responsible for the complete audiovisual support – from lighting and sound to projection and power supply – Auvicom has played a crucial role in the success and growth of Techorama. For Auvicom, this project is more than just a collaboration; it is an annual highlight where they can showcase their technical expertise and craftsmanship.
An impressive technical setup.
During the 2024 anniversary edition, held at Kinepolis Antwerp, Auvicom provided an extensive setup that set the stage for a seamless event. With a full team present for five days — before, during, and after the event — Auvicom perfectly coordinated everything from setup to teardown. This intensive effort ensured that both the keynote and breakout sessions ran smoothly.
The fact that the Kinepolis theaters are equipped with excellent projection screens and high-quality audio systems offered significant added value. Auvicom’s AV solutions seamlessly integrated with these systems, allowing us to focus on further optimizing the audiovisual experience.
The main hall, where the keynote speeches took place, was fully equipped with moving heads, front and back lighting, PTZ cameras, and an advanced Barco Encore system. This setup created an impressive and immersive experience for the audience.
In addition to the keynotes in the main hall, multiple breakout sessions were held continuously over the two event days in 10 separate rooms, each equipped with a full AV control system. Mobile Auvicom technicians and Techorama representatives in each room ensured that every aspect of these sessions ran flawlessly.
For 10 years, Auvicom has supported us at every edition of Techorama. Techorama is Fun(fair)!
At Techorama, it’s all about experience, and this year that was taken to a new level with the Funfair theme. The venue was decorated down to the finest details with vibrant animations and circus accents, creating a unique atmosphere. The foyer was transformed into a colorful carnival, complete with games, outdoor stalls, and an impressive Ferris wheel, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the festive ambiance.
Auvicom not only provided the audiovisual components but also took care of the power supply. In collaboration with Bear in Mind, a themed tunnel leading to the main hall was created, adding to the unique atmosphere of the event.
